Looking for a role in digital marketing that’s a little different? Where there’s not just client work, but exciting in-house projects? Plus room to grow, chilled people and heaps of variety? Well, hello, we’re Contrast.
Contrast is an eCommerce digital marketing agency in Nottingham that practices what it preaches. We actually run our own 7-figure eCommerce businesses, so we test strategies on our own stores and scale what works - helping other eCommerce brands and businesses drive more traffic, convert more sales and dominate their industry.
Unlike other agencies, we split our time between our clients and our own businesses. Which means you can keep up with cutting-edge techniques from an agency perspective, whilst pushing through long-term in-house projects (we’ve got some pretty exciting stuff in the pipeline at the moment).
You’ll have the flexibility to put your own stamp on things and scale with Contrast - moving upwards, forwards (or sideways). Basically your progression, your way. Because we’re not just interested in who you are, we’re interested in who you want to become.
We’re a small but mighty team and big believers in creating a relaxed yet driven atmosphere. And most importantly we work together on projects, not in siloed departments. That way we can do more, learn more and achieve more together.
Ultimately our vision is to become the UK’s leading eCommerce marketing agency. Fancy it?
We’re looking for a Digital PR Strategist with a proven track record. You’ll have run your own campaigns, developed your own process and can recreate successes over and over - producing consistent results, not just viral successes.
Above all you’ll help improve SEO performance and deliver regular high-quality backlinks by creating digital PR and outreach campaigns.
You’ll be responsible for multiple tasks which include (but aren’t limited to):
Develop digital PR strategies for clients, creating plans and roadmaps from a digital PR perspective.
Use creative thinking and research skills to create unique stories and compelling campaign ideas that really stand out and attract coverage.
Identify relevant publications for clients through social media/link analysis, use of journalist databases, real engagement with online communities and attending industry events.
Develop relationships with journalists and influencers across a wide range of industries.
Maintain and develop Contrast’s press and media contact database, as well as creating relevant media contact lists for client campaigns.
Work collaboratively with all of Contrast’s team members.
Receive feedback and use it to grow and improve as a Digital PR Strategist.
Carrying out monthly reporting internally and to clients.
Managing multiple projects at once, allocating time effectively and communicating progress to the team.
Supporting the digital team as well as the wider team with digital PR training and insight as we grow.
Contributing to Contrast’s wider business marketing goals, including regular blogging, podcasts and video appearances. Plus the delivery of ‘lunch and learn’ sessions.
Self-learning: to ensure you’re always up to date on the industry and inspired by other digital PR campaigns.
Highlighting, implementing and updating industry-leading processes and procedures around Contrast’s digital PR offering.
Liaising with clients to update them on the current progress.
As a Digital PR Strategist you should be independent, organised, have excellent attention to detail and be able to manage your own workload in a busy environment without supervision.
You take pride in your work and will help us to achieve excellent results for our clients.
From the very beginning, Contrast has been formed from key core values which are at the heart of everything we do. These values have naturally formed into the team’s everyday practices in the office:

Passionate about digital marketing and digital PR, with a real love for creating content campaigns and connecting with people.
Successfully used tactics like HARO and newsjacking.
Welcome feedback in order to grow as a Digital PR Strategist.
A flexible and open mindset.
Unafraid of asking questions and seeking out new opportunities.
